Hispanic/Latinx
In North Carolina members of the Hispanic/Latinx community are less
likely to be current smokers than other cultural/ethnic groups but are
more likely than other groups to be exposed to secondhand smoke on the
job (NC BRFSS, 2018). Hispanic households in North Carolina are more
likely than other households to be smoke-free, thus protecting children
and other non-smokers from the health hazards of secondhand smoke.
